The Widowhood series of books is not just written for Widows and Widowers though, it can be read and understood by everyone and is often an idea to read something like this if you are close to someone who has been Widowed. It may give you a sense of the feelings many of us have on this journey and an understanding of what that journey entails during those weeks and months. I dont claim to know anyone elses journey, only my own, but there are so many similarities that the bereaved share and these are the things that I write about.Widowhood 103 is the third in the Widowhood Series. These books cover my journey through Widowhood. This one, however, was not planned as part of the series, it came to be due to the reaction to Widowhood 101 and 102 and the ability of words to enable grieving for loss of all kinds. all loss is valid and all loss must be grieved.I sent the books to a friend to read and doing this set off a chain reaction of grief for things that she had lost in her life. Those losses were not a husband or partner to death, but the loss of a marriage and her dreams of the future. she is learning to grieve now and in time will heal.Until we grieve the losses we have we are unable to heal and move forward into the future.Further books are planned for the Widowhood Series of books and the next book will be Journey to Widowhood and set the scene for the whole series. This journey is a difficult thing to write about, but as I travel the road of memory it is also healing not only myself but others too. Journey to Widowhood will be available in October 2012.It is a remarkable thing this journey through loss and grief and if by writing honestly about my journey helps others then the many hours that my dog and I have spent at the computer will be very worth while.The Widowhood series is my story, but for Widowhood 103 I have had the help of a good friend who was willing to share the journey that she took into grief after reading Widowhood 101 and 102. Annie kindly wrote part of the foreword and the first chapter of Widowhood 103 and I have to thank her for her contribution.I look forward to hearing from my readers and thank you for giving me the chance to play a part in your lifes journey as you are playing a part in mine.
